White deliquescent flakes Soluble in water & alcohol, aqueous solution is neutral or slightly alkaline. Shelf Life: Long life in airtight bags. Stable under ordinary conditions of use and storage. Substance will pick up moisture from the air and go into solution if exposed in open containers. |
Product Handling and Safety Instruction |
It is supplied in the packing of 25 kg HDPE bags having PE liner. Must be stored in well-ventilated, covered and dry area. Calcium chloride is low toxicity material but ingestion may cause serious irritation of the mucous membrane due to heat of hydrolysis. Large amounts can cause gastrointestinal upset, vomiting, abdominal pain. Solid calcium chloride may cause mild irritation on dry skin; strong solutions or solid in contact with moist skin may cause severe irritation, even burns.In case of skin contact wipe off excess material from skin then immediately flush skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Get medical attention. Wash clothing before reuse. Thoroughly clean shoes before reuse.In case of eye contact immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, lifting lower and upper eyelids occasionally. Get medical attention immediately.In case of inhalation remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get medical attention. |
